This policy explains how Chat Genius collects, uses, and protects your personal information, including data processed through WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, and Email.

Chat Genius, operated by Reston Tech Wiz, provides an AI-powered chat concierge platform for businesses. By using our platform and messaging services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: Name, email, phone number, username, and role.
Messaging identifiers: WhatsApp number, Telegram user ID, Signal number, email address.
Message content: Text, images, voice notes, documents, and locations sent via WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, and Email.
Uploaded content: Documents and files uploaded to the knowledge base.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and login timestamps.

2. How We Use Your Information

Messaging: Send and receive messages via WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, and Email.
AI concierge: Process messages through AI to generate responses from your knowledge base.
Business management: Manage communications, instance configurations, and knowledge base content.
Verification: Verify identity via phone number matching. SMS is used exclusively for 2FA/OTP — never for marketing.

3. SMS / Text Messaging

If you provide a phone number for account security, you may receive SMS messages containing one-time verification codes. These messages are strictly transactional. No marketing content is ever sent via SMS.

SMS opt-in data and phone numbers collected for 2FA purposes will not be shared with any third party.

4. Messaging Services

WhatsApp (Meta) — end-to-end encrypted.
Telegram (Telegram FZ-LLC) — encrypted in transit and at rest.
Signal (Signal Foundation) — end-to-end encrypted.
Email (Gmail, Outlook, IMAP) — encrypted in transit via TLS.

5. AI Processing

Messages may be processed by Anthropic (Claude) for AI responses. AI content is labeled. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information for marketing. We share with: messaging platforms (for delivery), AI provider Anthropic (for processing), infrastructure provider OVH (for hosting), instance operators (within scope), and law enforcement (when required by law).

7. Opt-Out

Reply STOP to any SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, or Signal message.
Remove your phone number from account settings.
Block the Chat Genius number.

8. Data Retention

Account data retained until deletion requested. Messages retained up to 12 months. Request deletion anytime — processed within 30 days.

9. Your Rights

Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
Opt out of communications at any time.
Withdraw consent at any time.

10. Security

TLS/HTTPS encryption, E2E on WhatsApp/Signal, bcrypt passwords, CSRF protection, rate limiting, RBAC.
