Included models
Claude Haiku 4.5 · GPT-4o-mini. These are the bundled models listed for each tier. Choose Anthropic or OpenAI per instance, and test your own questions and workflows during setup.
Want to use your own model account?
The Bring Your Own API Key add-on connects your Anthropic or OpenAI account. Choose a supported model in the dashboard. Model usage is billed by your provider, separately from your ChatGenius subscription.

Each AI reply above your monthly allowance costs $0.08. Usage alerts are sent at 80%, 100%, and 120%. You can also upgrade mid-cycle with prorated billing. See the counting rules below when estimating usage.

What counts toward your message allowance.
What counts
Each AI reply to a customer counts as one message. Scheduled announcements count once per recipient. Image reading (Starter+) and voice-note transcription (Growth+) count the same as a text reply.
What doesn’t count
Operator-sent messages, dashboard actions, and customer messages that do not trigger a reply are not counted. Neither are retries or edits after an operator takes over. Knowledge-base indexing, storage, and search are included, with no document-count charge.

Email and in-app notices are sent at 80%, 100%, and 120% of your monthly allowance. Additional messages cost $0.08 each. Going over the allowance does not itself stop service; overage billing applies. Mid-cycle upgrades are prorated.

The subscription cost with BYO
Basic + BYO: $99/month. Starter + BYO: $199/month. Growth + BYO: $549/month. Enterprise BYO pricing is custom. BYO removes the monthly message cap, subject to fair-use throttling. Provider usage charges are additional.
Connect your provider account
Choose Anthropic or OpenAI, select an available model, and add your API key in the dashboard. Model and key settings are per instance. Confirm that your provider account has access to the model you want to use.
Two bills, with different purposes
Your ChatGenius subscription covers the platform and BYO add-on. Your provider bills model usage under your account’s rates and terms. ChatGenius does not add a per-message surcharge to BYO usage. Check provider spending limits as part of setup.
What the add-on covers
The $50/month add-on lets you use your provider account within ChatGenius. Your plan still determines the platform features, channels, and operator seats available to you; BYO does not upgrade the rest of the plan.

Which AI models are included in bundled tiers?
Claude Haiku 4.5 and GPT-4o-mini are the bundled models listed for the plans above. The BYO API key add-on (+$50/month) lets you use a supported model through your own Anthropic or OpenAI account, with provider usage billed separately.
Do you charge per user?
Operator seats are included up to your plan’s limit: Basic 1, Starter 3, Growth 15, Enterprise unlimited. There is no extra per-seat charge within that allowance. You can add or remove operators within your cap.
What happens if I exceed my message limit?
Usage alerts are sent at 80%, 100%, and 120% of your monthly cap. Additional messages cost $0.08 each, and service continues with overage billing. Mid-cycle upgrades are prorated. BYO (+$50/month) removes the message cap, subject to fair-use throttling and separate provider charges.
How does BYO API key work?
Add BYO for +$50/month, choose Anthropic or OpenAI, and enter your API key with a supported model in the dashboard. Settings are per instance. Model usage is billed directly by the provider under your account’s terms, and fair-use throttling applies. Enterprise BYO pricing is custom.
Why only Anthropic and OpenAI for BYO?
Anthropic and OpenAI are the standard BYO providers offered here. If you need another provider or a self-hosted model, discuss an Enterprise setup with us so we can review compatibility and scope.
Can I upgrade / downgrade mid-cycle?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current cycle so you keep everything you already paid for. Cancel anytime — 30 days of data export after cancellation.
Do you offer nonprofit / education pricing?
Yes — 50% off Starter or Growth for registered nonprofits and schools. Ask via /request-demo?nonprofit=yes with proof of status; approved within 1 business day.
What's white-label pricing for agencies?
Enterprise tier includes reseller pricing: you sell ChatGenius under your brand, we bill you at wholesale, you set your own margin. Contact us for a partner deck at partners@chatgenius.net.
Can I pay annually?
Yes — 12 months up front, 15% off across all tiers (and the BYO add-on). Invoiced by year, paid via bank transfer or card. Growth + Enterprise tiers can also be billed on custom cycles (quarterly, per-event).
What about taxes / VAT?
Prices are listed exclusive of applicable sales tax / VAT. EU customers see VAT added at checkout at their local rate; valid VAT ID zero-rates B2B invoices. US customers see any state/local sales tax at checkout. Enterprise contracts are net-of-tax by default.
