// AI CHAT FOR YOUR WEBSITE
They have a question. Give them a place to ask.
Help visitors find an answer, ask about a product, or book a call without leaving your site. ChatGenius uses your content to answer questions and connects to your calendar and team for the next step. Start with website chat. No WhatsApp account or phone number required.
// WHY YOUR SITE NEEDS THIS
A good website still leaves questions.
The answer is there. Somewhere.
Your pricing page, product details, and FAQ may cover the question. Finding the right bit can still take work, especially for someone visiting for the first time.
A small question becomes a contact form.
Someone wants to check a detail before deciding. A form turns that quick question into an email thread and a wait for a reply.
Scheduling interrupts the conversation.
A visitor is ready to talk, but now there’s another link to open or a few emails to exchange. Booking in the chat keeps the next step close.
Questions don’t follow office hours.
People browse when it suits them. Website chat gives them a place to ask while your team is away, with follow-up for anything that needs a person.
// WHAT IT DOES ON YOUR SITE
Help visitors take the next step.
Answers from your content
Use your FAQs, product information, pricing, and policies as the starting point. The quality of those sources matters, so keeping them current is part of running the chat.
Book a call in the chat
With a calendar connected, visitors can find a time and arrange a call during the conversation. You decide which calendars and meeting types are available.
Room for follow-up questions
Visitors can add a detail, change their mind, or ask what they meant to ask in the first place. The conversation carries context so they don’t have to start over each time.
Collect details as you go
Ask for a name, email, or a little context when it helps move things forward. Visitors can ask a question before being asked to fill in their details.
Bring your team into the loop
Set up handoff rules for questions that need a person. Send the conversation to your team through a connected channel, so they can see what’s already been discussed.
More than typed messages
Images, documents, and voice notes can give a question useful context. Enable the formats your visitors need and test how the chat handles them during setup.
Conversations in their language
Let visitors ask in the language they’re comfortable using. Test your main languages against your own content, especially product names and terms that need careful wording.
See what keeps coming up
Review conversations to find recurring questions and gaps in your content. Use what you learn to improve a product page, clarify a policy, or add a missing answer.
// THREE WAYS TO DEPLOY
A setup that fits your site.
Add the website embed
Place the ChatGenius <script> tag in your site’s template or custom-code area. Once your content and settings are ready, test the widget on your pages before publishing it.
Connect WordPress or Shopify
Use a platform-specific setup for your site or store. We’ll check the installation method, access permissions, and any product or order data you want the chat to use.
Build around your own tools
For a custom interface or workflow, discuss REST API and MCP integration with your developer. Agree the data, actions, and permissions the chat needs before connecting it.
// BOOKING + CALENDAR
From “let’s talk” to a time in the calendar.
Google Calendar
Connect the calendar you use for calls. Configure which availability the chat can check and where bookings should be added, with access limited to what the setup needs.
Microsoft 365 / Outlook
Use your Microsoft calendar for scheduling. Check account permissions and the calendars your team wants to make available as part of the connection setup.
Cal.com
Already using Cal.com? Build the booking flow around your event types and scheduling preferences. Check availability, buffers, and notice periods before opening it to visitors.
Calendly
Use your Calendly event types as the starting point for booking. The available flow depends on your account and integration, which we’ll review during setup.
Share bookings across the team
If several people handle calls, set up routing around their availability and roles. Agree how bookings should be assigned instead of sending every request to one calendar.
Keep everyone informed
Configure booking confirmations and team notifications through your connected tools. Reminders can be added where supported, with the timing and channel agreed during setup.
// YOUR WEBSITE PLATFORM
Keep the website you already use.
Shopify
Add chat to your storefront so shoppers can ask about products, delivery, or returns. Product availability and order questions need the relevant store data and permissions connected first.
WordPress + WooCommerce
Add the widget to your WordPress site through a plugin or embed. For WooCommerce, decide which catalog and order information the chat should access, then test those questions against your store.
Wix · Squarespace · Webflow
Use your platform’s custom-code area to add the embed. Access to custom scripts varies by plan, so check that your site allows it before starting.
Custom-built sites
Working with Next.js, Astro, or your own HTML? Your developer can add the embed to the site layout and check that it behaves correctly across pages and navigation.
// LIVE ON THIS PAGE · BOTTOM-RIGHT WIDGET
Before you book a demo, try the chat.
Open the widget in the bottom-right corner and ask about ChatGenius pricing, setup, or integrations. It’s a way to get a feel for the conversation before discussing your own site. The example below shows how a question can lead to a booking; your setup will use your content and connected tools.
// MAKE IT YOURS
The rest of the toolkit.
There’s more to a useful chat than the answer itself. Match it to your brand, give your team context for follow-ups, and review what visitors are asking. We’ll help you choose the options below around your workflow, plan, and data requirements.
Website chat FAQ.
Do I need WhatsApp for this?
No. Website chat works on its own, without a phone number, QR scan, or linked messaging account. WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal are optional channels you can discuss later.
Does it work on Shopify?
Yes. The setup depends on your storefront and what you want the chat to do. General questions can use your approved content; product availability or order-status answers need the relevant Shopify data and permissions. We’ll review those requirements with you.
Does it work on WordPress?
Yes. You can add ChatGenius through a WordPress plugin or the website embed. If you use WooCommerce, we’ll also review whether the chat needs product or order data and how that access should be configured.
How fast is deployment?
Adding the embed is one part of setup. Preparing your content, connecting tools, and testing answers also take time. We’ll agree a timeline based on your site and integrations, then review the chat with you before launch.
Which calendars does it book into?
Google Calendar, Microsoft 365 / Outlook, Cal.com, and Calendly are the options to discuss during setup. The booking flow and permissions depend on your account and configuration. If you use another system, we’ll review its integration options before committing to a solution.
Can it hand off to a human?
Yes. Set up rules for requests that need your team, then choose a connected destination such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, or email. The conversation gives your team context for the follow-up. A handoff doesn’t mean an immediate human reply; that depends on your team’s availability.
Can I customise the widget look?
You can adjust the widget to fit your site’s branding. We’ll review the appearance, greeting, and placement with you. White-label and custom-domain options depend on the setup and plan; confirm those details before choosing one.
What happens on mobile?
The widget is designed to adapt to smaller screens. Before launch, check it on the phones your visitors use, including the keyboard, scrolling, and whether it covers important page controls.
Do I have to write scripts or flows?
You don’t need to write a response for every possible question. Start with useful, current content and clear instructions about what the chat should handle. Booking, handoff, and other actions still need configuration, and answers should be tested before launch.
Where is the data hosted?
Ask us to confirm the hosting region, data retention, and processing arrangements for your proposed setup. If you have residency or privacy requirements, raise them before connecting customer data. You can also review our security information.
Can I add WhatsApp / Telegram / Signal later?
Yes. You can discuss adding messaging channels that use the same knowledge base. Each channel needs its own connection and setup, and availability depends on your plan. See pricing or ask us which options fit your workflow.
Bring the questions your visitors ask.
Tell us what people ask, where they get stuck, and what you’d like the chat to help with. We’ll walk through your use case, discuss the setup, and see whether ChatGenius is a fit.
